The assault caused the temporary closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
