Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to discuss a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is currently midway through the four-year agreement he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.
The experienced forward has accumulated an outstanding 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German club, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the initial important honor of his illustrious career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he earlier was, and would definitely think about extending his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top marksman for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had escaped him until he won the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
